Following the rise of concern about environmental protection, Europe is now setting bar on entry of electronic products that are not so-called “Green” A-Tec realizes the importance of such issue and takes part in underlining production in new electronic layout and ID design of all products.

To actually exclaim our concern for the world and to participate as a leading manufacturer in devoting for a green revolution, A-Tec has settled a new new milestone on a 2.5" external enclosures. HD-234-U2 is a new solution in 2.5” external enclosure market with USB2.0 interface that generates data transfer rate at 480Mbps and full rate at 12Mbps. It universally adopts all 2.5” IDE HDD that are mostly seen and used in notebooks. HD-234-U2 is bundled with USB cable, a mini USB power adapter, a screw, and a pouch enough to store all accessories into it for traveling. HD-234 itself is fabricated with rigid aluminum body in refined silver coloring. A LED light beam blinks to indicate read and write operation. The most important of all, HD-234 is produced under surveillance of RoHS regulation and is definitely qualified to meet the European as well as worldwide market in 2006.

Not only HD-234-U2, all product range that we currently carried are now ready for RoHS compliance. Our 4 major SMT lines are now fully equipped with RoHS processing. With direct control by our QC team, we examine every pieces of parts and components upon procurement, making sure they are qualified to enter into production.

For rest of the products that A-Tec retains in line, A-Tec is capable of producing RoHS compliant PCBA and housing. Such requirement would normally take 6 to 8 weeks to fulfill.

A-Tec is evolving into green production for entire range of products we currently and will have in stock. To do so, A-Tec possesses SMT line thoroughly in compliance with RoHS requirement. In the future, our goal of technology is to maintain cost effective yet burden-free to the nature.
